Dr. Derek Banks is a kind, caring, skilled and compassionate pediatric dentist proudly serving the Hollister, CA and the South Bay Area. Dr. Banks is a graduate of the University of Utah (B.A.) and the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry (D.D.S.). He completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center/St. Joseph’s Hospital in Providence, RI. He prides himself on staying up to date with the latest advances in pediatric dentistry and particularly enjoys serving patients with special needs. Dr. Banks believes in a custom approach to children’s dentistry and that by collaborating with parents we can help each child meet their oral health needs in a comfortable, caring environment.
Dr. Banks is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry as well as the California Dental Association, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Santa Clara County Dental Society, and Santa Clara Pedodontic Academy. He is board certified through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Banks is happily married and is the father of 4 very active little boys. He speaks Spanish fluently, and in his spare time enjoys running, hiking, biking, swimming, working in the yard and spending time with his family.
